TÜBİTAK held the 1812 BİGG – R&D and Technology-Based Entrepreneurship Support Event.

An information event titled “TÜBİTAK 1812 BİGG – R&D and Technology-Based Entrepreneurship Support,” organized by Gümüşhane-TTO to strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem, was held online with high participation. The program, moderated by Dr. Halil İbrahim Yurdgülü, Head of Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights at Gümüşhane-TTO, featured İbrahim Semih Topcuoğlu, Assistant Coordinator of ETÜ Kristal at Erzurum Technical University, as a speaker. The program included comprehensive presentations on the operation of the TÜBİTAK 1812 BİGG program, the commercialization processes of R&D-focused business ideas, and grant support offered to technology-based ventures. Particular attention was paid to critical points that prospective entrepreneurs should consider during the application process, business plan preparation procedures, and the support mechanisms implemented within ETÜ Kristal. The presentations emphasized the strategic importance of technological innovation in regional development and university-industry collaboration. The event, which was followed with great interest by academic staff, students, and aspiring entrepreneurs, concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session where participants' questions were answered. At the end of the event, participants with potential entrepreneurial ideas were presented with a roadmap regarding application processes and mentorship support, and potential collaboration opportunities were evaluated.
